Post Congress

Speaker : Dr Bertrand Khayat

 Venue : Future University

 Date : Saturday December 9th 2017     09:00– 14:00

  Description:

The use of ultrasonic tips in conjunction with the operating microscope has become part of the routine endodontic treatment. This has enhanced our performance and enables us to treat more complex cases. Locating canals, repairing perforations, removing broken instruments have become more predictable procedures. The presentation will focus on the design and structure of new ultrasonic tips and will be illustrated by many clinical examples.

After the lecture, demonstrations will be made on specific models. Each participant will reproduce the demo on the model and should also bring extracted teeth with some complexities (broken instrument) to be treated during the workshop. The use of the endo success retreatment kit will be explained in detail.

Participants : Only 20 participants

Duration : 5 hours

Fees : Members 1500 Egyptian Pounds / Non Members 120 $ dollars

Clinical Microsurgery Course

Many advances have been made in endodontic surgery in the past 10-20 years. These include enhanced magnification and illumination, ultrasonic preparation, micro-instruments, newer root end filling materials and the use of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). These advances have significantly improved surgical outcome and predictability. In this course, the different applications of CBVT in diagnosis, treatment planning and long term outcome evaluation of periapical surgery will be reviewed. Video footage of clinical cases from start to completion will be utilized to demonstrate the application of each technology in endodontic microsurgery.
